Is trust in economy neglected unjustly?

This thesis is seeking theoretical background as well as statistical evidence of links between classical and institutional economy by connecting their typical phenomena, specifically the notion of trust from the theory of transaction costs and the notion of return velocity of money from the quantity theory of money. It proves, that trust in the mainstream economy actually is omitted unjustly, for there is a strong statistical correlation between trust and real, as well as nominal, outcome. This conclusion is notable despite that there was not found any definite empirical evidence that this correlation is caused by effect of trust on return velocity of money. Furthermore, the thesis is attempting to find determinants affecting the level of trust like ethnic and religious disunity of the nation, but attempts to find their effect have failed. The work discusses the oral tradition of the tribe on the background of the regional development in the last two centuries. The Kotas used to live symbiotically with a few other local tribes with whom they developed a unique system of barter trade and services. The microregion remained isolated until new settlers started to arrive from the valley (in the beginning of 19th century). The arrival of the people from the valley and of the English people in the course of the last two hundred years caused a significant change of all aspects of life in the Blue Mountains: economic, social, cultural and ecological. The main aim of this thesis is to create educational material for teaching of regional geography in the 7th year of primary school. The thesis uses a variety of activating methods. Teaching activities have three main themes - Tribes, Globalization and Colonialism. The thesis contains also a methodological guide for teachers that includes instructions, utilities, benefits and other information that will help teachers with the application of these materials in the teaching of geography. The author of all processed according to existing curricula in force in the Czech Republic, especially FEP and SEP of five primary schools.
